PENELOPE Cruz, Nicole Kidman and Stacy ‘Fergie’ Ferguson hit the red carpet in Los Angeles Wednesday night for the premiere of their new movie Nine.

The flick — which also stars Marion Cotillard, Judi Dench, Kate Hudson and Sophia Loren — will be in cinemas worldwide on December 25.

Cruz recently admitted she was doubtful she’d be able to shoot some of her dancing scenes in the musical movie.

“They mapped it out and showed me how it was done,” the star, 35, said of one scene.

“I said I would never be able to do it but I worked and worked and regained the memory of muscles in my legs I hadn’t used since I was a teenager studying ballet.

“I was stretching, running and going to the gym to get my arms strong to support me on the ropes. But with my hands, after a while you don’t feel the pain. I had the wounds dressed and carried on.”

And Kidman has revealed that some of her dancing scenes have been cut from the flick.

“I did go to London and was involved in a couple of the dance routines,” she said. “But for whatever reason they didn’t make it into the movie.

“I really don’t class myself as a singer or a dancer but hopefully I shouldn’t be reading anything into that.”
