JENNIFER Hudson will be busy spreading festive cheer over the holidays.

The American Idol alum — who welcomed her first child, son David, earlier this year — says she’s a “holiday fanatic” and plans to convert people who think Christmas is “just another day”.

“It hurts me so when I see people like, ‘Whatever, Christmas is just another day,’” Hudson told People magazine.

“I’m that person who’s going to go over there and get you into the holiday spirit. And that’s how I’ve always been.”

Hudson says she’s looking forward to spending Christmas with 4-month-old David.

“I need to make it great for him,” she said. “I just want to make it as exciting and fun for him as it was for me. And I want him to have this feeling each time this time of year comes around. Whatever that is, that’s what I want to make my tradition.”

But Jennifer won’t be cooking Christmas dinner!

“I learned my lesson from Thanksgiving,” she said. “I bit off far more than I could chew trying to cook because I am not a cook!”
