Ashley Greene Grateful to ‘Twilight’
ASHLEY Greene will be forever grateful for her role in the Twilight films — because it’s helped her score parts in other movies.
The actress — who plays vampire Alice Cullen in the flicks — says the movie franchise has given her the opportunity to showcase her talents.
“Instantly, we have this fan base, instantly, we have these careers and people know who we are,” Greene, 22, told the USA Today newspaper. “People now actually care about what project I’m in.
“I’ve been asked by people to get a lock of Robert Pattinson’s hair. I’ve even had girls come up to me and ask to smell my hair.
“I’ve gotten proposals, and I always wonder, ‘What would people do if I said yes?’ ”
Greene recently revealed how she starved herself to prepare for her role in Twilight Saga: New Moon.
“It was really easy,” she told Us Weekly magazine. “We were working 12 hours a day, so it didn’t leave too much time to eat.”
