Elin Nordegren to Spend Christmas in Sweden; Divorce a Certainty

Tiger WoodsTIGER Woods‘ wife Elin Nordegren is set to spend Christmas in Sweden with the couple’s two children — and sources say a divorce is “100 percent on”.

“Elin is going to Sweden soon,” a source told People magazine.

“Two stewardesses and one pilot are in Sweden with the plane now getting it ready to come pick them up.”

The initial plan was for Nordegren, 29, and the family to travel to Sweden in January. But those plans changed. Woods is not expected to come along, People reports.

Meanwhile, sources tell Us Weekly magazine that Elin — furious at claims the golfer has cheated on her with numerous women — WILL be filing for divorce.

“A divorce is 100 percent on,” a source said. “She is not rushing to divorce. She’s going to take her sweet time.

“She wants all the dirty laundry to be out on the table before she signs anything.”

When you become famous and want the fame, sign on for big companies for money..YOU are saying you love the fame/money and attention..So when things go bad then you don’t want all of the attention and then you want a private life. When she got engaged in 2001 in South Africa, calling home she informed her father that “they” (her and her family) would now be very rich. Well, I understand that she has not caused public commotion, but I wonder what goes on within their private life- not that that make it excusable for Tiger to cheat by any means. If also we take a retrospective look backwards, could the stress of Tiger’s father’s sickness and then death, his own injuries, and even the fact that at first Tiger’s parents, especially his mother at the time did not want Tiger to marry “white” but within “his race” though she is Thai, and Tiger claims to be Cablinasian, all have placed a stress on Tiger? Definitely Tiger is a playboy, looking for other Tigress. Maybe he thought he was invincible. If their marriage could be made to work again it would be a good thing. People make mistakes at times. If Elin should remain Tiger needs to work hard to make it work…Tiger’s two years at Stanford didn’t seem to have prepared him for the life of a committed husband but a successful golfer…it was this sense of invincibility that made him goofed big time.

    I have been reading some funny news, such as “Tiger only married her for his public image… Since when were inter-racial marriages good for public image? Personally, I don’t care, but I find this hard to believe. Strange that people always expect heroes not to falter, but human they are.     Tiger will have to fess up, but no one but himself knows the whole story so all the guessing going on is just wasted, but interesting to read. Elin may have had her own agenda when she married Tiger. That’s guesswork too. I have always admired his golfing abilities that his dad worked to develop over the years. Tiger worked hard for his fame, and everyone jumped on his bandwagon. Now everyone is jumping ship. I still like him. I am unhappy that he threw away his public image for instant gratification, but then again, no one is perfect. We will have to wait for the next chapter in this book on Tiger Woods. It will be put on the shelf with all the other notables who have taken the same road.

    It is ridiculous that anyone who doesn’t know these people personally would say that Elin knew what she was getting into or she is a gold-digger or anything bad about her. She is a woman who married this man and bore two of his children.

    I don’t believe anyone deserves to be betrayed, exposed to life-threatening diseases, humiliated, and abused in every way.

    Those who support Tiger and vilify Elin seem to forget that CHEATING is ABUSE in every way: verbally (the lying about how he was committed to Elin), emotionally (the extreme pain of betrayal), psychologically (he has presented a different person to her than he really is), physically (the exposure to disease), and sexually (exposure to disease again).

    CHEATING IS SEVERE ABUSE in every way.

    I hope she gets a ton of money which she deserves after this extreme cheating — (how many women are there now that he’s cheated with?) — and I hope he regrets this for the rest of his life.

    And for those who say the family should stay together for the kids – that’s ridiculous. They would only be exposed to a narcissistic sociopath (Tiger) as their father and have a severely abused mother because he will not stop.

    The best thing for those kids is to be as far away from Tiger as possible. I think men who cheat should lose custody of their children – because those men have abused their whole families.

    When cheating is seen as the intentional violence that it is, maybe people will stop saying ridiculous things that blame the person who was cheated on and or that think children are better off around such a bastard.

I hear people referencing her to “She is only a Nanny” Being a Nanny is an honorable job, I guess we place worth on someone because of their choice in jobs etc… I rather be remembered as only the Nanny, with a respectable past then the GOLFER without integrity and honor.     Let’s not forget that Elin, although she was “just a nanny” comes from a very respected and intellectual family with money of their own, and while their finances certainly can’t compare to Tiger’s, come on now, who’s can!!?? Even WITHOUT Tiger’s money, she would not return to Sweden destitute. Her father is a published author and her mother a local politician. Even Princess Diana worked as a nanny, and she certainly didn’t need to. It was Elin’s love of children and family that compelled her to seek work as a nanny; it was her choice not a necessity. She is a lovely wife and mother, and Tiger either didn’t care or couldn’t see it. I hope he gets burned bad in the divorce.

Is it really all that respectable to abandon her marriage when times get tough. Couples have been through worse atrocities and it made their marriage stronger!

    For those praising her for walking out and keeping her self respect….will you also be hoping that she will be leaving the marriage with the few dollars she entered the marriage with? Wouldn’t that be what a respectable woman would do or is she going to prove that a big reason why she married Tiger was for the money, and milk him for what she can. Its not like she’ll ever be able to EARN that much money with her own intelligence (nanny or not).

    Most European girls that become nannies are looking for an easy way out of their limited situations. They look for connections to wealthy men. Its a little more respectable than a mail order bride.

    Re Elin being an opportunist. Per rumor, if she stays she would wind up with tons more, so her leaving is more a matter of i ntegrity. There are few big scandals in the golf world and remeber she was a nanny for a golfer too, so if it was rampant she would have known.

    Elin was only 21 when they began a relationship. The dated for 3 yrs before marriage. This is not the sign of money crazed woman. I’m sure she was flattered by a velebrated man’d interest, and its likely that if he wasn’t famous she might not have been intersted. But if she was kind of homely, he wouldn’t be either.

    I hope all of those horrible women are happy. Everyone always wants to blame the guy, but like my father says: “it takes TWO to tango!” I hope that sometime some of this will teach the other woman(or women) to have MORE RESPECT FOR OTHER WOMEN than to take someone’s husband. Once you know someone is married (and esp. a public figure that everyone KNOWS is married so he can’t lie!) just LEAVE HIM (or her) ALONE! Also, I think just as many WOMEN cheat as men do. They are just too slick to get caught! There’s an old saying that goes “Mama’s baby…Papa’s “maybe”! It’s still all very sad, and shows you what state of morality this sick country is in! I feel sorry for the little kids, and wish they could get some counseling for the their sakes! At least even if they are getting divorced, they need to learn how to forgive and work together to raise the children. I also wonder what happened to “forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us”? And “let those without sin cast the first stone”? It is the season of Christ’s birth, but you’d never know it. His love is lost in our hard hearts focused on materialism “I’ve got mine–you get yours, or else too bad for you”, and lack of compassion for others who are struggling. Sad.     I am so proud of Elin Woods. What she is going through certainly qualifies as non physical domestic violence; mental, emotional and psychological abuse. The one thing she has going for her is money and can move and set up her home anywhere in the world she pleases. This is rare and not often attainable for women of domestic violence who end up homeless or living in a shelter because of the financial factor.

    Elin – you are a shining example of a woman who doesn’t have to take the garbage your husband has thrown at you. The important thing right now are your two beautiful children. I know with the love and support of your Mom and sister, you will be much better off than the stress of worrying if your “husband” is with another woman every time he leaves for a tournament. And I don’t buy it for one moment that Tiger’s caddy had no idea what was going on. Tiger is surrounded by liars and you will never be able to trust any of them, and you don’t have to. I wish you the best and things may seem bleak now, but you are doing the right thing.

Elin will set an example to all women, no matter what color, by her actions over the next few months. Men are, rich or poor, black or white, still just men.     I understand Elin’s anger. If it’s true she attacked Mr. Woods with a golf club. I think tha’t was a bad idea. It’s very bad that he had so many affairs. Elin is so good looking. How could he destroy his home life like that? I’m not rich like him and I don’t have lots of women. Its all about quality not quantity. I don’t know Elin presonally, and beauty does not always make for a nice person. She’s not the one who commited adultery. I’m sure there is a line of men waiting to meet Elin.
