ROBERT Downey Jr. says being a Hollywood star gives him the incentive to stay in shape.

The actor admits that if he wasn’t in movies, he’d probably end up piling on the pounds.

“If I am never in shape again at least I have it encapsulated,” he says. “I can say ‘Look — I looked like that.’ But then what?

“Unfortunately for me now — thin is back in so I just have to keep working at it for now. Being in movies gives me the incentive to keep working out.”

Robert, 44, recently revealed that he’s “a monster” when he’s on movie sets.

“If it comes to aggressive outbursts regarding creative particulars, I’m a monster!” he said. “I don’t mean like I act badly or make people feel s***ty or anything, but I get really wedged up.

“It’s all I’ve got in the day, until I get home to my actual life at home. It’s all I’ve got.”
