RACHEL McAdams insists she wasn’t shocked to hear that her costar Robert Downey Jr. had injured himself on the set of their upcoming movie Sherlock Holmes — because the actor gives “110%” to all his roles.

The actress says the Iron Man star inspired her to put her all into the new Guy Ritchie flick after she witnessed him in action.

“I wasn’t that shocked when I heard he injured himself on set because he gives so much,” she says. “He gives 110%. One day we were out in the freezing cold and they were yelling, ‘He doesn’t look wet enough’, because he was supposed to have just come in from the Thames I think.

“So they were spritzing him with water. But it wasn’t enough for Robert. He saw this bucket of water and he just grabbed it and threw it over his head and it was freezing cold outside.

“He is just so committed. In fact when I heard he got punched in the face I thought he probably asked for it, literally.”

Rachel, 31, recently revealed that she was lazy in high school.

“I would fake sick all the time to the point where I’d convince myself I was sick,” she said. “In high school I really didn’t pay attention. I took the bare minimum to get by.”
