RICKY Gervais admits he might cause trouble when he hosts the Golden Globes.

The British funnyman says while he intends to do a safe job presenting the glitzy ceremony next month, it might not turn out quite like that.

“The trouble is that when I walk out on a stage, there’s usually two voices in my head,” explains Ricky.

“One that says just be nice and go have a mint after, and the other that says, ‘No, say what you thought of saying but thought you shouldn’t.’

“There’s an argument between good and evil, and the evil one usually wins.”

Ricky recently revealed his strategies for his first-ever hosting gig.

“Anyone who’s younger or thinner and richer and more attractive than me — that’s the one I’m going for,” he said.

“I want to host it a little bit more like someone from the Rat Pack would host — playing the room, a little bit more off-the-cuff, roasting a few of the A-listers.”

NBC will air the Globes live from Beverly Hills on Jan. 17.
