Tom Cruise Spying Claims Spark Lawsuit

TOM Cruise is being sued for allegedly spying on an old enemy.
The Top Gun star is accused of hiring notorious P.I. Anthony Pellicano to illegally wiretap a magazine editor’s phone.
Michael Davis Sapir, who once claimed to have had a “homosexual relationship” with Cruise, is suing the actor, his lawyer Bert Fields and Pellicano for a minimum of $5 million.
In 2001, Cruise sued Sapir for $100 million after he claimed to have a video proving his relationship with the Hollywood actor. That lawsuit was settled later that year. In the settlement, both parties issued a statement saying that no such tape existed.
In the latest suit, filed Friday in L.A. County Superior Court and obtained by TMZ, Sapir claims Pellicano illegally wiretapped his phone during the time the 2001 lawsuit was active.
“The allegations are absolute garbage,” Bert Fields told TMZ. “We did not even hire Pellicano to work on the Sapir case.”
Cruise’s rep is yet to comment.
