Angelina Jolie: ‘I’m Not Chained to Brad Pitt’

Angelina Jolie and Brad PittANGELINA Jolie thinks fidelity is overrated.

The actress — who raises a whopping six children with partner Brad Pitt — says she wouldn’t mind if her partner cheated.

“Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together,” Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper quotes Jolie as saying. “We make sure that we never restrict each other.

“I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship.

“It’s worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterward.”

Jolie admits she often kicks off if she doesn’t get her own way at home.

“The sparks fly at home if the nice Brad fails to see that he’s wrong and reacts in a defiant way,” she revealed. “Then I can get so angry that I tear his shirt.”

    Finally somebody who speaks honestly about long-term relationships. If both partners understand, then there is no problem. The problems come when partners – one or both – expect to find complete satisfaction with each other for every need – social, sexual or intellectual all the time. I admire Angelina for being so honest – everybody thought Tiger Woods was so loyal, etc then turn on him when he proves to be fallible.Infidelity is and shouldn’t be a deal breaker. Go Angelina – it’s about time we grew up about human sexuality!

    She has caused all of this ruckus – breaking up a marriage, and then to say how important fidelity is. This is not a role model. It tells young girls go out and have sex with whomever you want.     I agree, parents should give their children values, not celebrities.
    She doesn’t go out and say to people to be like her, she just wants to live her life the way she thinks is right for her and her family.
    It’s a shame that so many people feel threatend by her lifestyle and feel the need to attack her for her past. I can’t believe people would dig up the same old crap every time a story comes out.
    The book came out about them and it totally missed it’s goal, they are all still standing and toghether and I’m happy for them, since it’s non of our business how she and her partner decide what their relationship is.

    Yes, we have animal urges. But what sets us apart is our ability to reason and come to higher ground. If we are only animals, then we should be able to abandon our children, sh!t in the streets, lie, steal and murder whomever we want. You can’t have it both ways whenever the situation suits you. That’s called SELFISHNESS, which we’re supposed to be striving against.     It’s too bad that Jen had to sit in waiting for 5 yrs while Brad got dragged through the mud with Angelina because in the end Brad will go back to Jen whom he should never have left in the first place.
