Sam Worthington For Flash Gordon?

Sam WorthingtonSAM Worthington is reportedly set to star in a Flash Gordon remake.

The actor — who can currently be seen starring in the James Cameron epic Avatar – is apparently up against Ryan Reynolds for a role in a rework of the sci-fi flick — should the product get off the ground.

“If he gets the role it would be quite a big deal as Flash is an all-American hero,” dished one Hollywood insider. “Right now it’s between Sam, Ryan Reynolds and one or two others for the lead role should the project actually get off the ground.”

Worthington, 33, recently revealed that he liked stripping off for his role in Avatar.

“I had nothing on,” he said. “I had a loincloth on and they painted me blue, basically”.

    Sam is the man! He did really well in Terminator Salvation as well as Avatar. He is an up and coming actor, not that I needed to tell you, but it needed to be said… again!
