MICHELLE Rodriguez says she’s proud to have made it as a blockbuster actress in Avatar despite a criminal record and no-nudity clause.

The Lost star ended up in jail and rehab due to her drinking habit but she says it’s her refusal to bare all that has made her rise to the top even more surprising.

“I said a long time ago that I never want to play the vulnerable chick or the captured girlfriend with her clothes ripped off,” says Michelle. “I’d rather die than have to take my clothes off on screen.

“I have got success the hard way and that means keeping my clothes on and not jumping from one sex scene to the next. I’m proud of that.”

Michelle, 31, recently revealed she was rowdy in her twenties.

“I went through a rowdy period in my early 20s,” she told Maxim magazine. “Once I was at this club, and I just wanted to go home, but the valet was not getting my car.

“Then this chick cuts in front of me and starts driving away. I went nuts and jumped on her windshield, screaming. Then I see the terrified girl behind the wheel… It was Nicole Richie.”
