JESSICA Simpson was “torn up” when she heard reports her ex-boyfriend, Tony Romo, had gotten engaged to his new girlfriend.

Simpson is said to be heartbroken that Candice Crawford was flashing diamonds on her ring finger.

“Jess was torn up about it,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer. “She obsesses over Tony’s every move with Candice, and she’s always held out hope that she could win him back.

“When word got back to her that he’d bought Candice a ring, it was like Jessica had to accept it was really over with Tony.”

“Jess always dreamed that she’d be the one to marry Tony. She had their wedding all planned in her head.

“If Tony is really engaged, it might finally help Jessica move on with her life. Whether or not he’s getting married, Tony certainly isn’t looking back.”

Simpson is currently said to be dating Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan.
