CHARLIE Sheen‘s wife has wanted a divorce for “at least two months” — insiders say.

Brooke Mueller — who was assaulted by the Two and a Half Men actor on Christmas day — is apparently keen to call time on the year-long marriage.

“Brooke’s been wanting a divorce for at least two months, but she was holding out until Charlie signed a new contract [for his sitcom],” a source told E! News.

“They’ll get back together temporarily, but it’ll end in divorce.

“Charlie has been doing some soul searching to figure out what he wants to do next, but everyone around him is telling him to get out of the marriage.

“She’s scared. His team is doing everything they can to make her look like s–t.”

Charlie and Brooke have two children together — twins, Bob and Max, who were born on March 14, 2009.
