KATE Hudson‘s romance with Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez ended in tears when the actress started issuing ultimatums, according to a new report.

The New York Yankees slugger apparently realized his romance with the Bride Wars beauty — who is divorced from Black Crowes rocker Chris Robinson — was dead in the water when Hudson started to get demanding.

“Kate wanted to fast track the relationship,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“She started giving Alex ultimatums, and he realized it was not going to be a good long-term fit.”

Meanwhile, it has been claimed that Hudson has turned to former flame Owen Wilson following her split from the sportsman.

“They hadn’t seen each other for some time, but when things took a turn for the worse with Alex, Kate got in touch with Owen,” blabbed one insider. “They are reestablishing their friendship — we’ll see what happens.”

“Owen always seems to be available whenever Kate needs him.

“They know each other really well. They were talking about getting married at one time.

“Their friends also think there are unresolved feelings between them. There’s something there.”
