Taylor Lautner ‘Spent $50k on Taylor Swift’s Birthday Presents’

The hunky Twilight star, 17, reportedly splashed out more than $50k on gifts for the singer’s 20th birthday on December 13.

Because Swift loves the number 13, Lautner had a special surprise of 13 ornately wrapped presents.

“The gifts included a $50,000 ruby necklace, a stuffed teddy bear and even a poster of Kanye West — who wrecked Taylor’s VMA appearance — as a gag,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

Swift was delighted with the gifts, reportedly telling pals, “I was going from extreme happiness to surprise to outright laughter. Thanks to him, it was the best birthday I’ve ever had.”

However, the presents weren’t enough to keep the couple’s romance alive — on December 29, 2009 it was announced the two Taylors had split.

“It was never a big deal to begin with. The media made way more out of it than it is,” a source close to Swift told People magazine. “They went out on a few dates and realized this was just not going anywhere.”

I think media just puts stories up so we can get hooked who really knows if they dated or not or spent that much. The only people that know it is Taylor and Taylor.     Somehow, I think this may well be made up…
    How would anyone except the two of them know what Lautner gave to Swift in the first place? And £50K is an awful lot to spend on someone if ‘There was no chemistry’.
    The media have made such a big deal of the whole thing, especially considering that it was nothing big to start off with.

    And Swift doesn’t just like the number thirteen, it’s her lucky number according to correct sources. Swift is obviously clever enough to realise the money doesn’t play a part in a proper relationship, and Lautner went overboard on this one.

    Personally, I’m glad they broke up. Swift is far to busy for a relationship right now and Lautner got his hopes up a little to far.

Next week, we’ll release a story that Taylor Lautner’s moved IN with Mr. & Mrs. Swift now that Taylor Swift has got her own place. Then you can release a story that Mr. & Mrs. Swift are planning on adopting Taylor Lautner!”

    All I can say is Taylor Swift should have broken up with Taylor Lautner before her birthday. That would have avoided the tabloids finding out Taylor L flew across the states to spend her B-day with Taylor S making her look like a relationship user.
    On the other hand Taylor L SNL opening monologue mocking the kiss Taylor S blew him, makes him (to me) seem a little tacky.

    If he wants to date maybe he should try outside of Hollywood or hell try a twi-hard girl. I really doubt any Jacob fan would turn him down or treat him bad.
