Russell Brand is engaged to singer Katy Perry!

The British comedian confirmed to British newspaper The Sun Us Weekly‘s report that he proposed to the I Kissed a Girl hitmaker while the couple was on holiday in India over the holidays.

“It’s true,” Brand said of the engagement rumors. “Much love.”

Brand and Perry — who have been dating since September — are now celebrating their news in Thailand.

Legendary lothario Russell has turned his back on his womanizing ways since meeting Katy, and announced just before he went to India that he was a reformed man.

“Tonight I turned off my famous, hedonistic hot-tub, a monumental event,” he said. “I did it for climate change. In every sense.”
