PAULA ABDUL TO JOIN SIMON COWELL ON X FACTOR?

Simon CowellSIMON Cowell wants Paula Abdul to appear on The X Factor when he takes it to America, according to reports.

The music mogul announced Monday he is quitting his judging position on American Idol and has sealed a $160 million deal to launch a US version of his UK TV talent contest.

TMZ says Cowell has had discussions with Abdul — who quit as an American Idol judge last year — about being a judge on The X Factor.

Asked whether Abdul could be part of The X Factor, Cowell told reporters, “I’ve gone on record, I adore Paula. Whatever happens, I will be working with her in some capacity because I miss her.

“You’re just going to have to watch this space.”
