TERI Hatcher says fame stops her from stripping off in public.

The Desperate Housewives actress has had to stop taking her clothes off during exercise classes because it causes too much controversy.

“Around the time we started the show I met this woman who runs a company that have a whole routine of exercises based around stripping, stripping moves and pole dancing,” said Hatcher.

“But what reached me when I started doing it was the inner confidence it brought out in me and the other women taking part. It was this inner powerful woman thing that I was touched by.

“I loved doing it but then it was all anybody talked about. I haven’t done it for ages now because of that. People just got obsessed by it. But my character Susan does a strip scene — and I learned the moves from that class I took.”
