Christian Slater Dishes on The Perils of Hollywood

CHRISTIAN Slater says it’s important for today’s young stars to surround themselves with people they can trust.
The former Hollywood hellraiser – who struggled with drug and alcohol addiction and was even imprisoned during his wild youth — insists fame isn’t all glitz and glamor — it’s full of perils and pitfalls.
“Some of these guys don’t realize that there are a lot of traps you can fall into,” said Slater. “I’m very fortunate that I have good people around me now who encourage me to give something back rather than just be selfish like I used to.
“You need people around to remind you that the truth hurts but bullsh** kills. There’s a big world out there but some people need to realize that it doesn’t all revolve around Hollywood.”
