Mischa Barton ‘Refusing to Pay Rent on NYC Apartment’

Mischa BartonMISCHA Barton hasn’t been paying her rent.

The former O.C. star — who recently filmed a cameo appearance in the hit TV show Law and Order: Special Victims Unit – is being sued by her landlord after failing to pay the $7,000-a-month lease on her plush New York City apartment.

M.R.A. Realties Inc. says in a lawsuit that Barton rebuffed efforts to collect the last three months’ worth of rent on her flat in the trendy Tribeca neighborhood.

A representative for Barton — who also lives in Los Angeles — had no immediate response, according to the Associated Press.

The landlord wants Barton to pay the rent and legal fees, according to the lawsuit filed Thursday.
