Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban Won’t be a Double Act!

Nicole KidmanNICOLE Kidman and her country music star husband Keith Urban stunned the audience at an event for Aussies in LA by singing a duet — but the actress insists it’s the one and only time the couple will perform together in public.

Kidman — who raises daughter Sunday Rose with Urban — says she and Keith spent their spare time working on a song for pal Simon Baker, but they won’t be making a habit of sharing the stage.

“We decided to do that little turn for our friend Simon Baker,” said Nicole, who has sung in movies Moulin Rouge and Nine.

“We worked on it for about a week at home in the evenings. It was our first collaboration and probably our last.

“If we’re just at home and your playing music and hanging out then I’m fine,” adds the actress on her singing talents. “If it’s professional then I get nervous. I need to be loosened up.”

    Thank goodness. That was the most embarrassing performance I have seen yet. Good thing it was just a joke, or the intendee may have been less than impressed with the attempt.

    Honestly, I’m sure Simon would have let Keith and Nic know if he didn’t like their performance … The do know Simon personally after all and hey, considering the venue was full of Australian’s, who seemed to be enjoying the fun and frivolity I don’t know what “silverlining” is going on about …

    Oh Please!! they were just having some fun and just imagine how nerve racking that was for Nicole. Keith is totally at home singing and playing in front of people, but that’s not her profession. Kudos to her for having the guts to get up there and sing – especially knowing that petty little critics would take the opportunity to poke fun. Get a life and leave the good folks alone.

    It would appear that my beloved actor Tom Cruise is up to it again. He has a new picture coming out with Cameron Diaz and it looks like it’s going to be an excellent one particular, I just actually appreciate Tom Cruise movies, I think he’s truly good at these kinds of action films. This latest picture is an action-comedy about a fugitive couple on a glamorous and sometimes deadly adventure where nothing and no 1 – even themselves – are what they come across as. In the middle of moving alliances and unforeseen betrayals, they race across the globe, with their survival ultimately dependant on the battle of truth versus trust- I find it difficult to wait for this to come out.
