TAYLOR Swift recently hit the town with fellow singer John Mayer.

But rest assured, dear readers: it wasn’t a date!

The musical duo were spotted out together Sunday night at Cabana restaurant in Nashville, Tenn.

“They were here last night with a group of 15 people for what looked like a typical music industry dinner,” a Cabana rep told Life & Style magazine.

“It was just a group of people enjoying themselves, no wild shenanigans. It was definitely not a date.

Swift and Mayer’s new friendship sparked this past fall around the time the pair collaborated on the track Half of My Heart for John’s newest album.

Taylor, 20, recently revealed she’s building a pond in her living room.

Mayer, 32, recently admitted he regrets dumping Jennifer Aniston.
