KATY PERRY WOULD QUIT MUSIC FOR ‘IDOL’

Katy PerryKATY Perry would be prepared to ditch her music career to become a full time judge on American Idol.

The I Kissed a Girl hitmaker — who’s engaged to British comedian Russell Brand – recently made an appearance on the smash hit FOX TV talent show as a guest judge.

And Perry says she had such a great time grilling the contestants, she’d happily swap careers.

“I make ‘em cry all the time,” Katy, 25, told MTV News. “The American Idol experience was awesome. If I was offered that job as a permanent host, I would ditch my career and take on that career.

“American Idol was great fun. It was so easy. I didn’t really make anybody cry, but I did tell the truth to some kids that might have needed to hear it.”

    I LOVED Katy on Idol, she was the best guest judge they EVER had! She is much better then Kara, although the bickering between the two of them was fun to watch.

    Katy Perry needs to get over herself. I would not watch the show anymore if she became a judge. I thought she was very annoying and unprofessional last night.

    I also feel like Katy was trying too hard to be like Simon. You will never be like him. He is a very respected man. You were down right rude. I used to like you and your music until your appearance on the show. I will never listen or buy your music again. It is not right to put people down for no reason at all and act like you are better than everyone else when clearly you are not!

    whoever she was she was rude and needs to get over herself.

    True big icons and stars like Shania TWain with massive success don’t need to try hard. They show class with honesty and humor and create a balance.

    The guest judge nobodies last night proved to be immature and had an agenda and tried to get noticed by making the show about them.

    Thank God we had a class act like Shania last week to show how it should be done.
