ASHLEY Judd says her husband is shy.

The actress — who’s married to racing driver Dario Franchitti — says she likes her men to by intelligent and reserved with a great sense of humor.

“He’s shy, he’s very funny, very down-to-earth,” Judd told Redbook magazine. “Very warm. He likes to play. He’s very bookish, actually, reads far more than I do. He’s very studious about cars.

“His dad was a club racer, and his grandfather loved cars. There was a natural ability in him. He started driving when he was 3.”

Judd also revealed that she and Franchitti always make time to appreciate each other.

“Dario and I do an appreciation every day,” she said.

“It was a suggestion from a friend who does it with his wife. Sometimes it’s [she mimics gritting her teeth in annoyance and spits out], ‘I really appreciate…’ But that’s the point of the exercise — even when one is cross, to get some gratitude on board.

“We’ve been together 10 and a half years. We have our eighth anniversary in three weeks.”
