CARRIE Underwood is set to take to the stage at next week’s Super Bowl between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts.

The American Idol star will sing The Star-Spangled Banner at the event.

Underwood joins An impressive list of performers who’ve sung the national anthem at the big game — including Billy Joel, Diana Ross, Neil Diamond, Whitney Houston and Harry Connick Jr.

Garth Brooks, Natalie Cole, Vanessa Williams, Luther Vandross, Cher, Faith Hill, Mariah Carey, Dixie Chicks, Beyoncé and fellow Idol alum Jennifer Hudson have also performed the song at the sporting event.

Underwood — who’s engaged to hockey player Mike Fisher — recently revealed her desire for a small, low-key wedding.

“I started tearing out pictures and stuff,” she said. “I think I want a small wedding, but I don’t think that’s going to happen.”

And in other Super Bowl-related news, Kim Kardashian won’t be traveling to Miami in an armored car!

The Super Bowl XLIV will air February 7 on CBS.
