Tape Could Clear Michael Jackson’s Doctor — Or Send Him to Prison

Sunday, February 14, 2010

Conrad MurrayMICHAEL Jackson’s doctor could either be cleared of the star’s manslaughter or found guilty over the same piece of evidence.

Both the prosecution and the defense have submitted a voicemail left by Dr Conrad Murray — the last person to see Michael alive — on the day of the late Thriller singer’s death on June 25 last year.

The defense will argue that the call, according to police reports left at 11.54am, shows Conrad wasn’t in a frantic state trying to administer emergency life saving resuscitation to Michael — who died from an overdose of anesthetic Propofol — at the time.

The prosecution will, however, say the call was made as Michael lay unconscious or already dead at his rented Hollywood home, and Conrad was either not in the room when Jackson passed away or not paying attention to his patient’s needs.

In the message, to another patient, Conrad sounds calm as he says, “This is Doctor Murray, Bob. Hi, how are you? Sorry I missed you. Just wanted to talk to you about your results of the EECP.

“You did quite well on the study. We would love to continue to see you as a patient even though I may have to be absent from my practice for, uh, because of an overseas sabbatical.”

Conrad’s lawyers will claim the Police’s timeline is incorrect and use the message as evidence pointing towards the police bungling their inquiry into Michael’s death – thus discrediting early interviews with Conrad by the Los Angeles Police Department.

“It’s clear from the voicemail that Murray is not a man who sounds frantic, worried or in a stressful position,” a source told Britain’s News of The World newspaper. “But if the police’s timeline is correct, then he would have been almost an hour into giving Jackson CPR.”

Conrad — who has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter — claims he administered Michael with Propofol, then went to the toilet for around two minutes, and upon returning found he star wasn’t breathing.

Records submitted to the court claim the doctor was on his mobile phone for 47 minutes between 11am and midday, while an emergency call from one of Michael’s bodyguards was made at 12.21.

The District Attorney’s Office say Conrad never informed them of these calls, which could work in the prosecution’s favor.

Another source said, “The fact that Murray made this call and didn’t tell the police about it may be useful to the prosecution.

“Basically, it shows he was being evasive and had something to hide. Why would you not tell the police about every single thing you had done during those crucial moments when Michael Jackson was dying?”

Dr Murray is a monster. He killed someone who has been in my life for 40 years. He is not even a good doctor. He doesnt care. THat is why he didnt sound frantic. Someone very dear to me was killed by Dr Murray. Michael would be alive now if it wasnt for that ? He is mean & a jerk. He didnt have the proper equipment & wasnt watching his patient for over 45 minutes. He is a immoral & mean person & all I know is Michael would be alive if it wasnt for that so-called Dr. We definitely got the short end of the stick to lose one of the greatest people ever with the biggest heart & we get Dr Murray. Life sure is unfair

Elizabeth: we need to walk in another man’s shoes to see why he did what he did.

I agree, Michael needs justice. I feel he killed him and Michael had been dead for at least 45 mins before Mr.Murray ( I cant call him a DR) noticed anything was amiss. Doing CPR on a bed…please….Mr Murray knew he was already dead. 4 yrs in prison isnt long enough in my opinion for killing someone. I hope at least he can never practice medicine again. I just hope Michael will one day be able to rest in peace.

a docter is a reliable person who does not leave things to chance. This docter Murray is neglegent and has breached medical ethics and should really be brought to justice. a life has been lost and only the creator can bring it back if he so chooses

I know one is innoncent until proven guilty. But this is not ture in this case, in my opinion. Dr. Murray told on himself. Although he had a hidden agenda by doing so. This man wasn’t clever enough to cover his own tracks. He knew all along that Michael had expired. He waited, in an effort to make it look as if he was trying to revive Michael. This man is more than a monster. Now he says there’s an error in the timeline. I bet it is!!! Please do not give this so called man the option of not taking the witness stand. I would like to see him sweating bullets on the stand. I hope the DA’s office grill him to the fullest extent of the law. He needs to pay for it all. Including his arrogant ways. Usually I’m one to give the benefit of the doubt but; not this time. Conrad Murray is the lowest of the low. Just who do he think he is. He remember every detail, hour by hour, mimute by minute and second by second. Do this man have any morals at all?

fan or not fan of michael. thats not the point. michael was A PERSON, regardless of talent, fame, etc. WHO CARES ABOUT THAT!!!! i care about THE BEAUTIFUL PERSON THAT HE IS. this person WAS KILLED by another “person”. and this “dr” has to PAY. to me, he should be in prison AS WE SPEAK. he is a MURDERER. why do i say this? cause if you are a DOCTOR, you KNOW that PROPOFOL CANT be administered in a HOME w/o the proper monitoring machines, AS HE DID. KNOWING THAT, he STILL went on and administered it, in UNPROPER SCENAREO. therefore, ITS FULL BLOWN MURDER. “UNVOLUNTARY” MY ASSSSSSS. thats was VERY VOLUNTARY. he KNEW he was doing sth HE SHOULDNT CAUSE ITS WRONG AND IT MAY KILL SOMEONE. and he STILL DID IT. how can that be “UNVOLUNTARY”??????
