CHRISTINA HENDRICKS INSECURE ABOUT HER VOLUPTUOUS FIGURE

Posted by Adam

Christina HendricksCHRISTINA Hendricks admits she’s self-conscious about her voluptuous figure.

The Mad Men star, 34, says she was left red-faced when her curves started attracting more attention than her acting, culminating in last month’s flap over her Golden Globes appearance.

“It kind of hurt my feelings at first,” Hendricks told New York magazine. “Anytime someone talks about your figure constantly, you get nervous, you get really self-conscious. I was working my butt off on the show, and then all anyone was talking about was my body!

“It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.”

Christina — who will reprise her role as Joan Holloway on next season’s Mad Men – says fans are always surprised when they spot her in real-life.

“The way we dress on Mad Men is so associated with old photographs, with people’s parents and grandparents,” she said. “In person, I wear jeans and flip-flops and people are so shocked.

“They tell me I look so much younger than they expected.”

She has no reason to be insecure. What an incredibly beautiful woman. I would be very happy to be able to wake up next to a woman like Christina Hendricks every morning.

Only a cock craving faggot would find fault with this angel.

  • Cal

Agreed! She’s gorgeous and talented and has nothing to be insecure about.

  • larry

what is she concerned about..a voluptuous woman is increadably beautiful.

  • bob

i would fuck the dog shit out of her

As usuall we are to preoccupied with appearances. While I agree that she is a beautiful WOMAN, it’s whats in her heart and how she thinks that should be studied.

Christina Hendricks is indeed a hot dish to savor, but maybe the reason people care more about her curves than her acting is because her curves are a lot more interesting. Don’t get me wrong, on camera she could make any man salivate, but I seriously doubt at this point she can be considered an Oscar-caliber actress.

I think she is a fine actress. So is Keira Knightly. So is Natalie Portman. BUT… one of the reasons I love watching them in role is because they are beatiful and I AM a male Homo Sapiens Sapiens. A primate who is highly, sexually stimulated through the visual cortex! LOL! Christina’s beautiful figure, lovely face AND acting ability are why I like watching her act. Take away the acting ability and it’s like JLo in “Gigli”… fun to look at but not fun to watch. (JLo has shown her ability in other projects…. just not that waste of celluloid.)

She was definitely the Belle of the Ball at the Golden Globes. Why be insecure when you’re the only one that’s remembered from the event.

Hell, I’m a woman and I’m in awe of her beauty. If Christina doesn’t understand why everyone is giving more attention to her appearance than her acting, all she has to do is look in the mirror.

  • Cristy

    um
if she is so concerned about it, she needs to cover it up a bit. Letting it all hang out like that and then declaring that she is insecure and doesn’t want people to focus on her body rather than her acting, is ridiculous! BULL SH**

Of course she’s beautiful but she is a wonderful actress too. The unfortunate thing is guys, and I am admitting this of myself too is that we see the outside first and the personality second because it’s harder to see the personality for so many complicated reasons. From what I have seen of her on mad men she is just an excellent actress. Honestly though, if I had great looks and no personality I wouldn’t be insecure, I guess that shows how hollow I really am.

This beautiful actress reminds of the actresses of Marilyn Monroe,Jean Harlow,Bette Davis era.She should be a model. She represents the majority of american women(size 10 and 125-150lbs).She is another Katherine Zeta Jones in the making.I give her a around of applause. We need more actress like her. Congradulations and keep the good work up in whatever you do.

I think what people miss about Christina and thus, what she may not factor in herself, is that it is less about her body and beauty and more about the stark, oozing sexuality she has. I first was exposed to her watching Joss Whedon’s Firefly and was captivated in minutes. Whether she was playing the “demure” and sheltered “farm girl” or the vixen con-artist, she had a “come fuck me” look that is the thing that the “she wanted it” rape victim is made of. That is, she wouldn’t “want it” but people looking at her would likely think so. And it’s not about her face, or her figure, both of which are beautiful, but do not gain half the notice on a woman who doesn’t know how to carry it to full effect. She does.

I’m usually fairly confident and quick of wit around women, but I feel certain that thirty seconds in a room with Christina (or any woman who carries herself similarly) would have me reduced to adolescent babbling.

On top of that, she is intelligent from all I’ve seen and an awesome actress to boot, given the way she was able to convincingly play a sheltered farm girl one minute and an “evil genius” con-artist the next.

If I had that body, the last thing I would be is insecure!

Just because I’m NATURALLY thin and have small breasts means I’m not a “real” woman? Excuse me if like Christina, I can’t help the way I was born. I’m a real woman–my uterus can make a human being, I’m intelligent, witty, independent, can bleed for seven days without dying, am educated, caring, nurturing, etc. I’m tired of hearing I’m not a “real” woman because I’m thin with small breasts. Women come in all shapes and sizes, and I don’t think women like me need to be criticized to make bigger women feel better. There’s nothing wrong with my small breasts–they can produce milk and breast feed after childbearing, also. All these things makes me a real woman, not my height, weight, or breast size. I’ve also got “it”, and yes, I do flaunt it. Christina is absolutely gorgeous IMO, but women like me don’t need to be criticized to make bigger women feel better.

This girl is really nasty. I really don’t understand why my sis like her that much. What value does the girl have anyway?

  • Parker Jr

She is a good meal for the bed anytime .

  • squeakermama

If she would rather be known for her acting maybe she should think about putting those torpedoes up. lol
