COURTNEY Love claims her estranged daughter has no confidence in her comeback.

The 45-year-old rocker is about to return to the music scene with new album Nobody’s Daughter but received very little support from 17-year-old Frances Bean, who she lost custody of in December.

“One time, Frances was being mean and said, ‘What are you going to do if the record fails?’ Well, Frances, it can’t fail because I love it, and I’ve worked really hard to make sure that I love it,” Love, the widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, told Spin magazine.

Courtney is currently embroiled in a custody battle over Frances, who is living with her grandmother Wendy O’Connor and Kurt’s sister Kimberly Dawn Cobain after Frances took out a restraining order against her mother.

Courtney – who has previously battled drug problems – admits the ongoing case and her estrangement from her daughter are both taking their toll on her.

“I’m lost in a f***ing nightmare maze,” she said.

As well as the battle for her daughter, Courtney is also beset by financial problems, and last year claimed Kurt’s $750 million legacy had been stolen from her.
