NICOLE Richie says getting her belly button pierced is her biggest regret.

The socialite — who raises two young children with fiance Joel Madden — admits she’s distraught about the piercings she punched through her skin because she’s left with lifelong scars she can do nothing about.

Richie also has several small tattoos on her neck, back, foot and stomach but is hesitant to have them removed because she hears the procedure is so painful.

“Piercings scar but you could get your tattoo removed,” she said. “When I was 15 I got my belly button pierced and it was a big deal, and now I have this scar there that I feel worse about than my tattoos.”

Nicole also revealed she’d be “heartbroken” if daughter Harlow, two, and son Sparrow, five months, decided to get tattoos when they’re older.

“To be honest, I would be heartbroken, but what can I say?” she said. “I would say wait until you’re 18, that’s what I would say.”
