Salman Rushdie’s Ex-Wife Welcomes a Daughter!

The Top Chef star, 39 — who was married to author Salman Rushdie from 2004-2007 — gave birth to her first child — a daughter — Saturday in New York City.

The girl’s name is Krishna, according to Us Weekly magazine.

Padma first announced her pregnancy in October and described it as a miracle because she has suffered for years with endometriosis.

“I actually can’t button my jeans anymore,” Lakshmi said last fall when asked how her pregnancy was going. “Up until about a week ago, I could. There’s just too much pressure, so I’ve had to put them away for now.”

Although Padma has not revealed her daughter’s father, it was recently claimed that the baby daddy is Adam Dell, a venture capitalist who teaches at Columbia Business School in NYC.

Adam is the brother of billionaire computer maker Michael Dell.

    Don’t tell me that Salman’s slow moving sperm met Padma’s stagnant egg three years later to produce a baby.

    I really enjoyed seeing muslim fanatics behaviour out on the streets. We couldn’t show true nature of fanatic muslims if we would spend billions of dollars but Khomeini’s stupidity and also Muslims stupidity finally paid off.
