KATHERINE HEIGL MIGHT BE LEAVING GREY’S ANATOMY TO FOCUS ON FILM CAREER!

Katherine HeiglKATHERINE Heigl could be leaving Grey’s Anatomy.

The actress — who took three-month maternity leave to bond with her 15-month-old daughter Naleigh, whom she adopted in September with husband Josh Kelley and a five-episode break to film Life As We Know It with Josh Duhamel – is due to return to the set of the medical drama on March 1.

Two weeks later, the 27 Dresses star will travel to LAs Vegas accept the ShoWest award for Female Star of the Year.

And insiders say Heigl is ready to depart Grey’s to focus full-time on her film career.

“It wouldn’t be a shock,” a source told People magazine. “The level of speculation is no different than it has been in the past couple of years.”

Katherine plays Izzie Stevens in the show.

Sources recently revealed that Heigl has mellowed out since becoming a mom.

“She’s mellowed out since bringing home Naleigh,” dished one insider. “She’s a doting mom. She doesn’t like to be apart from her baby, so she brings her to the set as often as she can.

“Katherine loves showing off Naleigh. And her co-stars get a kick out of her. She’s such a good baby. She’s always smiling and hardly ever cries.”
