Daniel Radcliffe Supports Gay Suicide Prevention Charity

DANIEL Radcliffe is putting his fame to good use.
The Harry Potter star, 20, has become the voice of a gay suicide prevention charity.
Radcliffe recorded a public service announcement for The Trevor Project while on a tour of its New York offices.
“I’ve always hated anybody who is not tolerant of gay men or lesbians or bisexuals,” said Daniel.
“Now I am in the very fortunate position where I can actually help or do something about it.
“The fact that I’m straight shows that straight people care a lot about this as well.”
In an interview with Britain’s Attitude magazine in July last year, Radcliffe said he “loathes” homophobia.
“I just loathe homophobia,” he said. “It’s just disgusting and animal and stupid and it’s just thick people who can’t get their heads around it and are just scared.
“I grew up around gay people entirely. I was the only child in my class who had any experience of homosexuality or anything like that.”
