KRISTEN Bell and her fiance Dax Shepard are planning to get married in Detroit.

The couple — who announced their engagement last month — both hail from the Detroit and are determined to honor their roots by throwing a Motown-style bash, rather than a posh Hollywood party.

“Kristen remembers the wedding receptions she went to as a kid in the old Catholic church social hall,” a source said.

Kristen’s Rome costar Josh Duhamel told the actress her choice of wedding destination is a great idea, reportedly saying, “I’m from Minot, North Dakota — Detroit would be like Paris to me!”

Bell, 29, recently insisted she puts her loved ones ahead of her career.

“I think your significant other should be way more important than your work, personally,” she said. “I love working. I don’t know that I’d say I’m a workaholic because I also love maxin’ and relaxin’.

“I don’t think I’m a workaholic but currently, I feel like I’m at a really lovely place and I’m grateful to be where I am so I like working too, but I know what my priorities are.”
