MARY-Kate Olsen kicked her boyfriend to the curb after they couldn’t agree on a $900 prenuptial agreement, it has been claimed.

The 23-year-old star dumped Nate Lowman – whom she had dated since 2008 — several weeks ago, Olsen’s rep said last week.

“Mary-Kate, who is very much a romantic, knew it was over and made sure she told him so before Valentine’s Day. She tearfully dumped him,” a source told the National Enquirer.

“The relationship began falling apart in November, and it never recovered over the last three months. She’s down in the dumps about it, but doesn’t rule out a reconciliation.

“Not only did the prenup never get signed, but her friends were telling her that Nate was out partying without her. Mary-Kate just wants to settle down with the right guy. After years of clubbing and dancing the night away, she wants more substance in a relationship.”

“Following the prenup problem,” the insider adds, “Mary-Kate gave Nate his walking papers after his partying became too much.

“Before breaking up with him, she found out a lot of women were coming on to him at parties — and he wasn’t doing much to show them he was in a steady relationship — that made her pretty angry.”

“Mary-Kate still has feelings for Nate,” the insider concludes, “but she now back on the market — for the right guy.”
