Robert Pattinson: ‘I’m Not Materialistic’

Robert PattinsonROBERT Pattinson insists his life is clutter-free — because he can do without “most things”.

The hunky British actor — who’s rumored to be dating his Twilight costar Kristen Stewart — says he isn’t materialistic.

“I’m not one for comforts and stuff, I think I can kind of do without most things,” he said.

Rob, 23, also revealed he hasn’t really been splashing the cash since finding fame in the vampire movie franchise.

“I bought a really nice guitar recently, which is the only thing I’ve ever really spent a lot of money on,” he said. “But that’s the only thing.

“I had my apartment in London before when I was unemployed — this tiny little place and I liked it more.

“You had to walk through a restaurant kitchen and up this staircase filled with trash and there’s no heating. I like that.

“But now it’s quite difficult. I can’t live in places like that any more. The people outside, that’s the only issue.”

    Oh come on!! He’s 23 with millions in the bank and he wants you to believe the only expensive thing he’s bought was a guitar. Didn’t he tell Ellen that he bought a car and was driving even though he really didn’t know how to drive? What about that little green sports car they have pictures of him driving. What does he do…borrow or rent a car? I think it’s “rubbish”!!!!

      Is this my new friend Kim? He has like an 89 BMW that was falling apart. That Porsche he was driving he said was lent to him indefinitely but he wrecked it. I completely believe he’s not materialistic. Just another thing to like about him.

        I had heard him talking about his beat up BMW but I thought it was in England.

        No no the BMW was definitely in LA, I’m 100% positive of that. He didn’t even get his driver’s license until Twilight.

    His father is in the antique car business so I would naturally assume Robert is a bit 0f a car buff himself. He’s been seen driving a Porsche, an Audi, and he claims that he can’t drive.I think he just lies as he goes along; he’s contradicted himself quite a few times already.

      I heard ENEWS! that he lost his old BWM.How do you loose a car? Apparently I think all these new flashy cars are company cars given to him by Summit for him to drive when he is in California.I don’t know if that is true?The story I heard on the green Porshue is that he keeps it in Kristens parents garage while hes overseas.That is why there are pictures of him driving away from Kristens parents house somewhere.

      Don’t forget Kristen is on the Oscars with Taylor Lautner tomorrow.

        Hello EJ! I know he was on Ellen when he she asked him if he could drive and he told her that he does drive but doesn’t really know how. DUH!! Ellen replied by telling him “then don’t drive”. lol I know the Oscars are on tomorrow. I can’t wait to see Kristen. lol Oh, boy if Ashley and D and Bev were here they would be all of me for being a fan! Rofl….

        LOL again I think he’s slightly BSing about “losing” the BMW. But he did claim he wrecked the Porsche because of the pappz. I don’t know if I believe that one either… if that were the case wouldn’t there have been pics everywhere?!

        I’m sure she’ll be wearing something other than jeans and a tee shirt. Hopefully anyway. Lately she has been dressing the part at all the award shows.

        Kim-To your answer on New Moon being released on DvD.I saw something that it may be on pay per view in a week or two.Probably the time that The Runaways are supposed to be in the theaters.

        I’m with D on this one can’t wait to watch but for different reasons Kim LOL!!! Mines to see how fast the stuttering, hair messing, bite lipping starts, I’ll be timing it lol

        Actually I’m interested in watching just to see if Rob makes a surprise appearance like Kristen did for his movie. They have said that he isn’t gonna show up but they have been doing things that people don’t expect them to lately. We’ll see!

        Kim-Remember her jeans and t-shirts are very important because they are designed by Burberry and Dolce&Gabbana.You could buy her same look at Target for 60%-80% less than where she buys it.

        Sorry to burst your bubble Ms. Kim but… RP was photographed on set just yesterday. :) He probably has to make up for the time he took off to promote RM. I think I read Bel Ami is scheduled to be done April 20th.

        Ashley-I’m wondering if she(kristen)was acting the way she was on the red carpet for the Remember ME premiere because she didn’t want to be there but she had to make an appearance since Remember Me is a Summit film.You know when they were leaving the Baftas in the limo,you know that frown on rp face and the half smile on ks face.I think she was smiling because she was glad to be with him but RP was frowning because he rather be hanging out with his whatever they are instead of her.I still think hes not as much into her as she is into him.

        Yes they’ve been filming in london and they wrap up in Morrocco on April 20th some nice photo’s in London from Bel Ami on Popsugar site

        No bubble bursting here. I had heard he wasn’t going to show but really it isn’t important that he show anyway. Kristen and Taylor will be there. His appearance would only feed into all the speculation.
