Shia LaBeouf: ‘Michael Douglas is a Broken Man’

SHIA LaBeouf says it was “unbelievably disturbing” starring opposite Michael Douglas in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
The pair were making the movie during the time Michael’s son, Cameron, was arrested for possessing a massive amount of crystal meth with intent to distribute it.
“I met a broken man, not the star, Michael Douglas,” Shia told Germany’s Gala magazine. “The man was in pain, trapped in an incredibly deep crisis.
“Michael Douglas on the verge of a nervous breakdown. It was unbelievably disturbing.
“He was afraid for his son….Michael’s work day was structured so that he’d visit his son in prison in the mornings, and after come to us on set. That was pretty difficult for him.
“There was little time for any of us to try to comfort Michael. That was really hard.”
