HAYDEN Panettiere has liked alcohol for as long she can remember.

The Heroes star, 20, says she’s been drinking wine with her meals since the age of eight.

“I was raised Italian and we always had diluted glasses of red wine at dinner time from about the age of 8,” Hayden told Britain’s Now! magazine.

“That’s just what kids do in Italy. It wasn’t ever something bad.”

But Hayden insists she hasn’t developed a drink problem.

‘I have the occasional drink — of course I do,” she said.

“I don’t drink a lot, just a glass of wine or champagne every now or then.”
