ZAC Efron wants to meet James Cameron.

The High School Musical hunk says he’d love to shake hands with the critically-acclaimed Avatar director.

“It would be great to shake his hand,” Efron told E! News at Sunday nights Oscars in Los Angeles.

“Avatar was a breakthrough in so many ways. You walked away and just wanted to live in that world. It’s like the first time you saw Jurassic Park.”

Efron, 22, recently heaped praise on fellow heartthrob Robert Pattinson.

“He’s absolutely amazing,” he said.

“I think he’s making great choices. I think he’s handling it all really well, but you know, he’s a superstar. He really deserves all this.”
