Gerard Butler Spent His First Year in America Drunk!

GERARD Butler admits he spent his first year in America under the influence of alcohol.
The Scottish actor — who has been romantically linked to his The Bounty costar Jennifer Aniston — moved to Venice, California, in the mid-1990s.
And Butler says his habit of wild partying meant he was drunk most of the time.
“I actually can’t remember those times so well… Sometimes I would leave L.A. and wake up in Florida and think, ‘How did this happen?’” recalled the 300 star.
Butler now claims he has been teetotal for 13 years.
“I can’t remember drinking,” he said in September last year. “When I stopped, I would look at a beer and think how great it would be.
“I’d get this pang in my stomach to go back out and have fun, but then I’d remember that I used up that right — that I did a full life worth of drinking between 14 and 27.”
