Robert Pattinson: ‘Films Are my Therapy’

Posted by Adam

Robert PattinsonROBERT Pattinson uses his films as therapy.

The Twilight actor looks for roles that will help him with his life, which is why he was attracted to new movie Remember Me, in which he plays Tyler Hawkins a rebellious young man living in New York city and trying to cope with the suicide of his brother.

“I try and pick roles that will help me develop as a human being and I think I was going through a similar kind of experience as my character Tyler, which I guess you could call being rebellious,” he said.

“I thought just doing the film would actually help me to think about and discover things that would help me in my life. I was kind of using it as a therapy exercise.”

The 23-year-old heartthrob also admitted he is still grieving the death of his beloved dog Patty last year as he felt he had lost a family member.

“I keep talking about my dog all the time. It was an incredible dog, and I said in an interview recently he was the most important person in my life,” said Rob.

“My family went crazy with me for saying that. But, however ridiculous it may seem to some people, my relationship with my dog was a defining moment. Having the dog die was, literally, like the worst day of my life. It was like losing a family member.”

I can understand that he upset still over the death of his dog patty. Some people are very close to their pets. There are people who have a special connection with them.I can understand the therapy through films. He learns how to deal with new situations that could happen in his real life.

Rob seriously you need to move on. And ” my dog was the most important person in my life” wow dude that is harsh on your family I bet. And a dog is an animal not a person. I suggest you don’t get anymore animals in the near future you might not make it past the next one. I am very attached to my animals and just love them in general and would own a zoo if I could but I can distinguish that love from my family for sure.

geez, lisa. i think thats kind of harsh of you to say that. i know a lot of people that LOVE their pets. i love my dog and treat him as a family member, too! and i actually call him my “little baby boy”… so i see nothing wrong in wat he said.
