Matt Damon Embarrassed by Golfing Injury

MATT Damon injured himself while learning how to play golf for a movie.
The actor played golfer Rannulph Junuh in the 2000 film The Legend of Bagger Vance and admits he badly hurt himself while preparing for the role.
“It’s the funniest thing because, of all the stunts I have thrown myself into, the only time I have been injured was while learning to play golf for The Legend of Bagger Vance,” said The Bourne star.
“I had my worst injury ever on that movie. I took a golf club and I was just taking a practice swing but grounded the club and ended up separating a rib. That’s still embarrassing ten years on.”
Matt — who raises daughters Isabella, 3, and 18-month-old Gia with wife Luciana Barroso — recently revealed he doesn’t want to take time off because he doesn’t want to miss the chance to work with some of the Hollywood legends he’s getting to work with.
“I want to direct someday and I can’t really pass up the chance to work with the people I’m getting to work with,” he said.
“I’ve worked with Paul Greengrass three times now, and Clint Eastwood twice, and Steve Soderbergh five or six times, and the Cohen Brothers this month. As long as that keeps happening, I can’t see myself taking time off, unless the work dried up.”
