SAM Worthington was once told to give up acting.

The Avatar actor — who stars the upcoming remake of The Clash of the Titans — says he was approached by a random critic who told him to quit Hollywood.

“I had a guy come up to me once and say, ‘You suck! The last movie you did was terrible’,” recalls Sam. “So I said ‘Thanks very much mate, do you have any advice for me?’ And he goes ‘Yeah, give up acting.’

“So now I would like to say to him, thanks very much. I’m so glad I didn’t listen to you!”

Sam, 33, recently revealed how he flashed his bum while filming Clash of the Titans

“Wearing a leather skirt is a lot harder than it sounds,” he said. “It flies up all the time so a lot of the shots get ruined because they don’t want to show your cheeks.”

The Clash of the Titans — which also stars Ralph Fiennes, Liam Neeson and Alexa Davalos — hits movie theaters April 2.
