KRISTEN Stewart feels “really lucky” that she was chosen to play rocker Joan Jett in new movie The Runaways.

The Twilight actress, 19, stars opposite Dakota Fanning in a new biopic about 70s band The Runaways.

“I was really lucky to have her be so into the project and so open about it, because not a lot of people my age know about The Runaways and it was the most important part of her life and kick-started her career,” said Kristen.

“And also, they were the first girl band. They were the first girls to ever play aggressive, sexual assertive rock and roll.”

Stewart, 19, recently admitted she’s “pretty clumsy” — and is terrified of winning awards in case she drops them on the red carpet.

“I have had some bad moments in the past,” she said earlier this month. “I once dropped an award and it bounced of the stage and smashed. It was horrendous, possibly one of the worst things that could happen at an awards ceremony.

“I am pretty clumsy so it was kind of appropriate that it was me who did it.”
