CAMERON Diaz was over the moon to learn she’d be starring in a movie with her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.

The former couple are set to appear together in upcoming film Bad Teacher — and Diaz can’t wait to reunite with her former flame on the big screen.

“They’ve been apart for years, but they stayed friends and the friendship has only gotten better over time,” a source told Fox News.

“Cameron loved Justin and they were always trying to come up with some project they could do together beyond Shrek.

“She is very happy that Bad Teacher worked out — Cameron was gunning for Justin to be in it with her and she had some influence over the choice.”

Cameron, the source added, “has been going through ups and downs lately between films and Justin’s hiring made her feel better.

“Cameron loves working and now she gets to go to work with someone who knows her as well as her closest friends. It’s a treat and she’s already laughing.”

But it’s unlikely that Justin — who’s currently dating actress Jessica Biel – will rekindle his romance with Cameron.

“Justin has no intention of cheating on Jessica with Cameron,” the source said. “He and Cam are strictly friends. Justin and Jessica have worked hard to get past a lot of turmoil in their relationship and they are in a great place. He is making it clear that he is thrilled to be working with Cam again, but that’s where the line is drawn.

“Jessica says she has no reservations about the movie. She knows that Cameron and Justin have great comedy chemistry – Justin has it with everyone he’s close to. He can make anyone laugh at the drop of a hat.”
