JENNIFER Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy are set to remain friends — despite their recent split.

The pair — who dated for over a year — called time on their romance because their hectic schedules were getting in the way.

Sources also insist that there was no infidelity or other smoking gun behind their breakup.

“It wasn’t contentious,” one insider told People magazine. “It had kind of just run its course … They just sort of looked at each other and said, ‘We like each other and we make each other laugh, but this isn’t for the long-term.’

“She’s working constantly, and Jamie’s working on the show and touring [with his stand-up comedy act].

“It just isn’t conducive to a relationship.”
