Mischa Barton’s Credit Cards Decline in Whole Foods!

The actress was left red-faced during a recent supermarket visit after her credit card declined while she was trying to pay for her items at the check-out.

Witnesses at the Whole Foods store in Fairfax and Crescent Heights claim the former O.C. star, who had been tucking into cooked pasta from her basket, hung her head as a friend jumped in to pay.

Barton, 24, recently put her $8.4 million Tuscan-style mansion on the market.

Following the cancellation of Mischa’s show The Beautiful Life, her friends spoke out about the star’s fears over her career.

“She has been insecure about where her career was going and feels she may be a has-been at 23. She hasn’t been overwhelmed with offers since The O.C. went off the air,” a source said in October.

“She needs to feel she’s still employable. Right now, that’s her deepest fear. That no one will hire her again. It’s not true, but that’s how insecure she can get sometimes.”

    I have great credit, lots of it and pay my bills on time. I have been declined at WHOLE FOODS on 2 separate occasions. I’ve never been declined anywhere else. I asked if they would call the credit card company and was told they couldn’t (no explanation). They want cash and don’t want to pay the fee for accepting credit cards so they take a chance embarrassing customers. They probably figure that if you’re shopping at their very expensive store, you’re also carrying cash. I’ve now found other places to go and am now saving money. Bu-bye Whole Foods!
