Robert Pattinson Respects Porn Stars

Robert PattinsonROBERT Pattinson’s kinky sex scenes have given him “respect for porn stars.”

The 23-year-old actor — who had to film raunchy scenes with his costar Emilie de Ravin in Remember Me — found stripping off on screen a difficult skill to master and has a newfound admiration for adult movie stars.

“When you end up doing it, you have this little patch on your privates,” he said. “I didn’t really tape it up properly, so I’d spent so long taping it round myself and then literally it falls off within one second and it’s taped to the sheet. And you realize the whole crew are looking directly at your butt crack. I can’t think of anything exciting for them about this. It gives you a lot of respect for porn stars.”

The Twilight hunk was so nervous about the sex scene, the director gave him and Emilie a selection of sex toys — including pornographic videos and handcuffs — to try and make them “more comfortable.”

“Emilie was very, very, very comfortable,” he said. “I’m always the one who’s the most uncomfortable. So we came into the room, and they said ‘It’s a closed set,’ blah, blah, and we got on to the bed and the director was like, ‘I got you these things, if just maybe you wanted to use them.

“You don’t have to use them, maybe it will make you more comfortable.’ They were these bondage things: lube and handcuffs and porn videos. It was so funny! “

    Not saying the gratuitous sex scenes weren’t NICE, but this makes it seem like much more than it actually was. Darn! I’d sure like to get my hands on the extended scenes. No put intended….ok…maybe a little bit pun intended. :)

        I was really surprised that the ‘romantic’ scenes weren’t more steamy. Really. I hate to spoil it for you, but there isn’t much to them. I just wonder if it was because Rob was too embarrassed or shy to pull it off. But, then that would certainly debunk the whole ‘manwhore’ persona people paint of him. What they did show was very very nice. :D But, I thought they would go much further and would have had a bit more intensity, as that would have been true to the story line. I was just getting ready to tell you why, but I won’t spoil it for you. You can tell me if you agree with me after you see it. :)

    There were no raunchy sex scenes…THIS IS BULL! The director gave them some “stuff” as a joke before their scene. The moments were tender and tasteful.

    Dear John had the same reviews yet came in number 1. Remember Me should have done much better especially with Rob in it. The movie recouped half of its 16 million dollar budget in the first weekend, so why it it considered a bomb? …It does not add up. True the Twi fans that are young may have decided to wait for the DVD and only want to see Rob play Edward. The weather and the depression (it is not a recession any more thanks to no jobs)…effected ticket sales.

    Notice how the article is written from a totally slanted view. The sex toys things were improvised stuff from the art department and given to be funny and break the ice. The movie was not kinky or pornographic.

    If anything, the love scenes could have been a bit longer and more kissing.

    Romantic Fool it’s not even been shown in Britain yet, it doesn’t get released here until 2nd April. I find the timing a little weird to be honest considering it will be a full three weeks after the release in America and a week and a half after the premiere here.

      I know Bev, that is stinky…go on You Tube and you can see a few trailers of it. It is the first movie that stayed with me for a long time after I saw it. Rob still needs to loosen up a bit…he was feeling the pressure of the first time being a lead in a movie with no support group (friends from Twi & Kristen) around. The fans and paps were going crazy too in the streets of NYC.

      To top it off, some sick twisted freaks put out a false report that he had been hit by a taxi and had a drug overdose…he told Access Hollywood that his bodyguard barged into his trailer one day as his mom had called to find out where he was after hearing in on the news.

      Rob is so sensitive and self-conscious that I think he was embarrassed over his stardom effecting filming the movie. The NYC police were called into control the crowds at one point.

      Anyway, I really think you will enjoy it when it releases…it is a little movie with big impact.

        I have seen a lot of trailers, just want to see the film now. I am sure that he will get better and better in the roles he plays as time goes on and he becomes more used to everything. I am looking forward to seeing some of the other projects he has in store in the near future.

        Bev – the trailers don’t do it justice. It has such a powerful story and the entire cast gave very emotionally moving performances. The one thing S did actually say was that although he couldn’t pinpoint it, he thought something was ‘off’ with our heartROB’s acting!!!! :(
        I made him stop talking after that! AFTER I let him know that I was quite certain he couldn’t have done a better job. lol

        I obviously like Rob but I also like Pierce Brosnan, he’s been very good in all his films, thought he was wonderful in Butterfly on a Wheel. I haven’t seen EDR before but I like her on her interviews so I’m reasonably confident I will enjoy the film. I love the way you say you made him stop talking, please share info on how you did that LOL!!!

        Well, it was pretty easy actually, as I think he was tired of me grilling him about it anyway. lol
        I asked him if he thought EDR was more attractive than shrew to which he replied that was a no brainer! (Of course)So, I just kept asking him this and that, and when I said I could almost tell that Rob was nervous during the romantic scenes it was then he made the blaspemous commnet and in my shock, I told him I’d like to see him try to do any better. He started laughing at me and I just turned my head and said “You can stop talking to me now.” And, he did. But, he didn’t stop laughing at me. :(

        OMG Bev! I love Pierce too. There is a scence between he and Rob that was sooo emotional! First thing in the movie that made me cry. Pretty intense and just OMG.

    I have no words. When the love scene in RM was going on I kept moving closer to the edge of my seat. My friends were laughing at me because I almost fell over. That man is too yummy for his own good. Or mine! :P

        I really thought it would be difficlt to separate the two which is why I put off seeing it. But, OMG…wasn’t hard at all. lol

      Jenn & D: There was something a smidgen off with his acting..a little too uptight in some scenes. When he smiles that dazzling smile the one that shows his goodness…he is so disarming. But the love scenes were a little stiff. He is doing more kissing in movies than in real life so he is a little awkward and rusty…it seems. Also, I am married to a former alter boy. He held back with me for a long time in kissing style until he knew he loved me and I was certain I was the one…then….WOW when he finally let it out. I was going to break up with him as his kisses were not too cool. I’m glad I did not.

      I think Rob will be a sex machine some day and at the risk of sounding like a cougar…his lips are very sensual looking.

      I think the photography and models were retro. Rob was talking about porn in the 70-80′s being more tasteful and and left things for the imagination.

      The part in the video where he reaches towards the naked girl in the bathtub…I was thinking oh no he is going to grope her…He says after he did the shoot that it was a little racy. On The View he said he learned that he should just never say anything in interviews as he always says the wrong thing. Barbara Walters asked him if he was really kidding about being allergic…the joke is I’m a allergic they make me swell up…anyway, Rob says they are the bane of my existence …a curse and cracks up.

      If in fact he ever did ask her out, Kristen said no to his advances because she thought he was a nerd and was not sure if he could be trusted to tell the truth to. The cast and Kristen say he is known for being too open, talking to much and is not a liar.

      She was afraid to say she was gay or still in a committed relationship with Michael.
      Watch her on the 11/08 today show when he says he has a crush on her and she looks so disgusted and shakes her head.

      All the behind the scenes video show a Kristen flirting with him not the other way. On the Twi set near the end of the filming he said to the interviewer that the only thing holding him here was whether he wants to be hassled with packing all his stuff up and going back to the UK.
      He was not dating Camilla yet but knew her from his friend Tom who dated her. Hardwicke and Kristen said he never got out of line. He did give her books and music. He didn’t stay away from her just because Michael was on set. He does admire her and they care for one another. They are close.

      He did so many sexy scenes that were taken out that the guy fancied himself with a crush….then he got to see her out of character and how she really is. Very mannish and crude. Chris Weitz said that only Taylor has a clean mouth…the cast all swear too much.

      The only plausible explanation is that he changed his mind or she realized that she was gay. Otherwise, she would not look so bad and act so butch. See her at Sundance Film Fest after party and Comic Con 2009.

    Cash is very tight in my family right now so quite a few extras are eliminated from our budget. The initial issue to go was our cell phone plan and cable wasn’t far behind. At very first I thought this would be a huge issue as my husband likes to watch sitcom re-runs. Yet, this hasn’t been a problem as he is able to Watch High Quality Porn! also as other favorites of his. I’m glad he discovered these as I do not want him to lose everything he loves.
