HAYDEN Panettiere says it’s “exciting” to be dating boxer Wladimir Klitschko.

The Heroes star hooked up with the 33-year-old Russian in Decemeber last year and has so far remained tight-lipped about the romance.

But Hayden couldn’t help but gush about her beau while supporting Wladimir at a fight in Germany over the weekend.

“I’ve never had an athlete as a boyfriend before, and it’s an exciting experience,” she said. “I think it’s awesome that he’s so athletic, but I’m most fascinated with his intelligence. He’s unbelievably clever…

“Even though I’m small, I can dish it out too. But I have to admit, I feel really protected with such a strong man by my side. Now, whenever someone’s bugging me, I say: ‘Look out, my boyfriend is a boxer!’”

Hayden, 20, recently admitted she’s insecure about her body.

“I’m insecure about my body,” she said earlier this month. “I’m a typical girl. I often hate my body and have bad hair days. I could show you a million things I don’t like and would change.

“I’ve never been one of those people who’s been obsessed with working out or being super-skinny.

“The body I have isn’t going to change, so I just try to stay as healthy as I can.

“The older I get, the more comfortable I am with it. I still have ‘fat days’ when I have to wear baggy T-shirts with sweatpants though!”
