PAULA ABDUL NOT HEADING TO BROADWAY — DESPITE CLAIMS SUGGESTING OTHERWISE

PAULA Abdul won’t be treading the boards of Broadway — despite recent reports to the contrary.
It had been claimed that the former American Idol judge would be making her debut in the New York theater district starring in the 2008 Tony Award winning musical In The Heights.
“Paula will take over for Priscilla Lopez in one of the leading roles,” a source told the RadarOnline website earlier this week. “It’s always been Abdul’s dream to star on Broadway.
“Paula has been in talks with producers for several weeks and made a special overnight trip to New York on March 17 just to see the successful Broadway show.”
But producers of the show have spoken out to set the record straight, insisting the Radar report “It isn’t true.”
Abdul, 47, is still believed to be joining her former Idol colleague Simon Cowell when he launches American X Factor next year.
