Keira Knightley “Gutted” to Miss Out on My Fair Lady Movie Role

Keira KnightleyKEIRA Knightley is apparently “gutted” that she missed out on the lead role in a movie adaptation of My Fair Lady to fellow British actress Carey Mulligan.

The Pirates of the Caribbean has been working hard with singing lessons in a bid to get the part of Eliza.

“Keira wanted to play the role,” a source told Britain’s Sunday Mirror newspaper. “She’s been linked to the production for nearly four years.

“She’s always loved Audrey Hepburn, who starred in the original movie, and had spent the last year working her backside off with private singing lessons.

“She knew she didn’t have a huge voice but she was willing to put the effort in for the role. It would have been a role of a lifetime for Keira, and she’s gutted that it hasn’t worked out.”

    yea i heard that too. besides do they really have to do a My Fair Lady remake?! uggh its just gonna be disastrous. i think its actually for the better that keira pulled out.

    Ohh, noooo! Don’t say that she wanted the part and didn’t get it.arghh! I though she had turned it down!
    That’s it- we will all just have to cause civil unrest until Keira becomes the ultimate Eliza.I for one have begun by switching all pepper and salt labels, be afraid- be very afraid…
